North Mountain Pastures Meat CSA Policies & Member Agreement

We ask all new subscribers to carefully read the following document and then click “I agree” when finished. These are the guidelines that keep our CSA running smoothly, and you will be responsible for knowing them.

The Philosophy of CSA: Community supported agriculture is a relationship one step above a simple transaction, a give and take of pasture-raised meats for cash. It is based on mutual respect between the customers and the farmers. Under the CSA model, subscribers pay by the month for food they will receive that month. Your subscription is a contract to receive a minimum of one month’s worth of product. The Meat CSA works because everyone is invested in their share of the animals produced on the farm. This means you get to try every cut of meat. We experiment with new cutting techniques, and different types of processing to better utilize the whole animal. It is our goal for everyone to experience and enjoy the whole animal, but we understand that sometimes, there are certain cuts you just don't like. We will try to accommodate your preferences as much as we are able.

Meat CSA Share Contents: You are guaranteed to receive the total quantity of meat that you pay for. However, the breakdown of meat types within the total may vary slightly from month to month and from the chart on the website, depending on the specific sizes of chickens and cuts of meat available.

Subscription & Payments: We use a web-based software program called Farmigo to help manage the financial interactions between our customers and our farm. With it, North Mountain Pastures subscribers have online access to their own accounts. We accept payment via credit card (visa, mastercard, or discover) or e-check. You will automatically be billed each month, only for the products that you have received that month. You will continue to be billed monthly every month except for December, in which we take a month off. You may pay by check by contacting us directly farm@northmountainpastures.com

Your account will be charged 3 days before your Meat CSA delivery date each month.

Making changes to your CSA membership account: If you will be away or would like to take a break from your meat subscription for any reason, you may do so by logging on to your account and putting your membership on hold. You will not be charged for the months that your account is on hold.
